Silver Saturday

A rugby union bonanza at BT Murrayfield where no less than seven trophies are up for grabs on ‘Silver Saturday‘ including the 1872 Cup.  Ticket information will appear here shortly.

A special day of finals promises to showcase the best rugby in Scotland and provide a rare treat for rugby fans.  The most prestigious trophies in Scottish Club rugby, the Men’s and Women’s BT Cup Finals, will be contested this afternoon followed by the final Guinness PRO14 match of the season, the 1872 Cup decider between Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors.

The combination of the 1872 Cup with the finals of the domestic competitions brought together under a ‘Silver Saturday’ umbrella means that fans can expect a day to remember at BT Murrayfield.  The day starts with the Women’s BT Bowl and BT Shield Finals, along with the Men’s BT Bowl and the Men’s BT Shield.

The Sarah Beaney Cup, contested by the finalists in the Women’s Cup competition will then feature alongside the Men’s BT Cup Final, ahead of the 1872 decider which kicks off at 7.30pm (TBC).

A fan village in BT Murrayfield’s West Car Park will be open throughout the day with bars, music and family entertainment on a scale comparable to Scotland international matches, with added activities such as Tartan Touch.

A celebration of the best of Scottish rugby tickets will be released in due course.  Stay tuned for the latest news!

Kick-off is at tbc.
