Sport on Spec is expanding!

After an amazing year of sport in 2014, we’re delighted to announce as from the beginning of March 2015 our coverage is extending to include spectator sport taking place in Edinburgh and surrounding areas, including Perthshire and the Scottish Borders.

The inclusion of Edinburgh and Perth, boasting popular sports venues such as Bell’s Sports Centre and the Royal Commonwealth Pool, means that together with our existing Glasgow coverage we’ll be bringing you the best possible information on how to attend the vast majority of major events and national championships taking place in Scotland around the 17 Commonwealth Games sports.

By way of a reminder that’s aquatics (swimming and diving), athletics, badminton, boxing, cycling, gymnastics, judo, hockey, lawn bowls, netball, rugby 7s, shooting, squash, table tennis, triathlon, weightlifting and wrestling.  Trust us when we say there is plenty to look forward to in 2015 and beyond – and if you are on Team Scotland watch you are in the right place!

Meanwhile for horse racing fans we’ll have ticket details and information regarding upcoming fixtures at each of the five courses in Scotland; namely Ayr, Musselburgh, Hamilton, Perth and Kelso.  And there is plenty of eventing action alongside.

In football it means we can cover many more games in the Premiership, Championship, League One and League Two, together with plenty of action from the Scottish Women’s Premier League starting as from March.  Likewise the addition of the Scottish Borders means for fans of the oval ball, we will be previewing all rugby matches taking place in the BT Premiership, alongside Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby fixtures in the Guinness PRO12.

And that’s not to mention additional previews in sports as diverse as cricket, speedway, darts, tennis, ice hockey, roller derby, golf, American Football the list goes on …

So what are you waiting for?  If you are yet to subscribe to the Sport on Spec Club, the sooner you do the sooner we can bring our free newsletter with all the action for the week ahead direct to your inbox.  Likewise don’t forget our Events! page always with the next 7 day’s action.  And if Twitter or Facebook is your preference we’ll be posting regular updates there too.  Because as you know; there’s nothing like being there!

Yours in Sport,
