The Peugeot Ashfield Stadium hosts some of the best speedway talent the UK has to offer this afternoon in the British Championships semi-final.
In what promises to be the first of many major events at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium the best of British will be on the championship trail, including 37-year-old Scott Nicholls a World Cup silver medallist and 82-time Grand Prix rider. Joining the Belle Vue star are 16 others including three Glasgow riders – Richard Lawson, Richie Worrall and Ben Barker – Team GB aces Lewis Bridger, Danny King and Craig Cook and a host of other riders from the Elite and Premier leagues.
The format of the meeting will be 20 heats with the top finishing riders progressing to the British Championship Final, which will be held at the new National Speedway Stadium later in the season.
