2023 PREVIEW

All eyes will be on the Copper Box Arena on Friday 16 June following the announcement the British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship is returning for the first time since October 2021.

Eight sides from the Netball Super League will compete over five exhilarating hours of action starting from 5.30pm.

An electrifying tournament format features five players-a-side, 12-minute matches, multiple point shots, unlimited roll-on roll-off substitutions and the Golden Buzzer Power Play – setting the stage for an all-action evening of non-stop, pulsating netball.

The format sees teams compete in the double-elimination group stage before the semi-finals and final.  Team Bath are back to defend the title they won in 2021.  Joining them are current Netball Super League leaders London Pulse, Surrey Storm, 2022 NSL champions Manchester Thunder, Leeds Rhinos, Severn Stars, Strathclyde Sirens, and two-time finalists the Saracens Mavericks.

With the tournament set to take place a week after the conclusion of the Netball Super League, it will offer an opportunity for teams to draw their battle lines once again in an action-packed evening.

Reflecting on their win in 2021, Team Bath player Kirsty Harris said: “Winning Fast5 in 2021 was a brilliant experience, especially with it being the first time Team Bath had won the competition.  We’ve had to wait a while to defend our trophy but we’re looking forward to it.  Fast5 is always such a fun event for players and spectators.”

The eight sides will battle it out for a slice of the £100,000 prize fund.
