The Flat racing season continues to build momentum at Windsor Racecourse with the third Monday Night Racing fixture of 2019.  First race is at 5.30pm and tickets are available.

Is there a better way to start the spring working week than a night at Windsor Racecourse?  The Sport of Kings in a delightful setting on the River Thames makes for a Monday night to remember.

windsor racecourseThere are six races to enjoy with the feature race at 6.30pm, The Weatherbys Hamilton Stakes.  This Class 1 race is one of the highlight of the Windsor Racecourse season.  A sprint over 6 furlongs the horses will come thundering past the finish line in little over a minute.  Expect some top horses and jockeys to go to post in a valuable Listed Race with a prize pot of £37,000 at stake.

There are three viewing enclosures to choose from.  Firstly the Silver Ring Enclosure which is approximately 150 yards from the winning post and where you may bring your own picnic.  The Grandstand Enclosure boasts great views of the track located within 75 yards of the winning post with the Pre-Parade Ring and Winners Enclosure just a short walk away.  And the Heidsieck Club Enclosure is the place to be for access all areas with a prime location next to the winning post, dedicated large screen for all the racing action.

Gates open at 3.30pm.  First race at 5.30pm, last race at 8pm.

Tickets on the day at Windsor Racecourse are available.  Silver Ring £10/Grandstand £18/Heidsieck Club £24.  Under 18s are free when accompanied by an adult.

Note:  there is a dress code only for the Heidsieck Club enclosure (smart jeans/trousers/tailored shorts, no trainers and collared shirt) but elsewhere there are no dress restrictions.

Travel tips: Free car parking is available in the public and coach car park.  The nearest stations are Windsor & Eton Riverside with direct trains to London Waterloo and Windsor & Eton Central with direct trains to Slough where you can change for trains to London Paddington.  Taxis are available at both stations.  Alternatively there is a boat shuttle from Windsor Promenade (close to both stations) with a regular service to and from Windsor Racecourse on race nights.  Boats start running two hours before the first race up until the beginning of the second race.  Return trips to Windsor Promenade start at the beginning of the penultimate race and finish approximately 45 mins after the last race.
