The Game Changer. Harlequins Ladies v Gloucester Hartbury Women

Congratulations to Harlequins Ladies who broke their own record for an attendance at a women’s club match as 4,837 visited Twickenham Stoop to witness their nine-try triumph over Gloucester Hartpury.  Stay tuned for news of a 2020 version of The Game Changer and in the meantime it’s next stop the 2018/2019 Premier 15s play-offs for the Harlequins team!

An annual celebration of women’s rugby has lift-off this afternoon at The Stoop as Harlequins Ladies take on Gloucester Hartbury Women in The Game Changer.  Kick-off is at 2pm and tickets are available.

The final round of the 2018/19 Tyrrells Premier 15s promises to be a memorable one as Harlequins Ladies aim to break their own record for an attendance at a women’s club match in the UK.  Last March over four and half thousand spectators were at The Stoop to witness Harlequins take on rivals Richmond FC.  A record the club has set its sights on breaking in today’s match against Gloucester Hartpury.

Harlequins Ladies will be looking for a win this afternoon to retain second spot in the table ahead of the play-offs and will start as favourites welcoming back no less than seven of the England squad who won the Women’s Six Nations Grand Slam when beating Scotland at Twickenham earlier this month.  Among them are the Six Nations’ top try scorer Jess Breach alongside firefighter extraordinaire Shaunagh Brown.  Also returning to the Harlequins fold is Jade Konkel who created her own piece of history in 2016 when becoming Scotland’s first full-time female rugby player.  The Harlequins team is truly a force to be reckoned with but don’t expect Gloucester-Hartbury Women to roll over as they eye a crucial win that could secure them a fourth-place finish in the table and qualification into the end of season play-offs.

Will women’s rugby attendance history be made at The Game Changer?  Will Harlequins or Gloucester take the spoils?  Get your tickets now as all roads lead to The Stoop to find out!

Kick-off is at 2pm.

Tickets in advance are available via the ‘Get Tickets’ link.  Adults £10/Under 16s £5.

Tickets on the day subject to availability.  Checking the Harlequins Ladies Twitter feed before travelling is recommended.
