🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️ The world’s best cyclists are set to compete in Glasgow as the UCI Track Cycling World Cup returns to Scotland for the first time since 2016.  Tickets are on general sale.

A three-day cycling treat treat is guaranteed at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome as the Track Cycling World Cup is staged at the iconic venue which hosted the track events during the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Taking place between 8-10 November there are two sessions daily (morning and evening) with qualifying in the morning ahead of finals in the evening.

Also confirmed for 2019 is the news para-cycling will feature at this year’s with the specific programme of events due to be confirmed.

Tickets on the day at the venue box office are subject to availability.  Checking the Track World Cup Twitter feed before travelling is recommended.

Travel tips: Dalmarnock Rail Station is 5-10 minute walk from the Emirates Arena where the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome is based.  The station is on the Argyle Line through Glasgow Central Low Level.

The arena is located directly over the road from Celtic Park and accessible from the main entrance on the East End Regeneration Route.  At junction 2A on the M74, take the A74 exit to Tollcross / Cambuslang. At the roundabout, take the exit onto Fullarton Rd / London Rd / A74​. Then take a left onto the East End Regeneration Route.

The nearest bus stops to the arena are at The Forge Retail Park just a short walk away and it’s a 10-minute cycle by bike to the venue from Glasgow City Centre and both Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street train stations.
