Millwall FC v West Bromwich Albion

⚽️ Millwall FC welcome leaders West Bromwich Albion to The Den in a crunch Championship fixture.  Kick-off is at the earlier time of 1.30pm and tickets are available.

The business end of the season is a fast approaching and with promotion the all-important focus both sides will be desperate for maximum points this afternoon at The Den.

Hosts Millwall FC are currently ninth in the Championship on 45 points, some five points adrift of Bristol City who are in sixth spot and the last of the play-off places.  A win today against the league leaders will give the Lions a massive boost of confidence and set them up perfectly for a London derby on Wednesday night against third-placed Fulham.

West Bromwich Albion have been flying high all season but faltering form of late has seen what looked like automatic promotion turn to nothing of the sort.  The Baggies may have gone back to the top of the league last Saturday – after ending a seven-game winless run beating bottom of the table Luton – but a clutch of sides, including Fulham and Brentford from the capital, have closed the gap to six points or less.  As such a win for West Brom in London today will do much to calm their jangling nerves.

Previous head-to-head: An early-season encounter at the Hawthorns last August the honours shared in a 1-1 draw.

One to watch: Goals could be a premium in a match neither side can afford to lose.  Tom Bradshaw and Jed Wallace are the joint-scorers for Millwall on 10 goals each so far this season.  For the visitors Callum Robinson impressed on his Baggies debut last week setting up their opening goal in the win against Luton Town.

⚽️ Kick-off is 1.30pm.

🎟️ Tickets in advance are available via the ‘Get Tickets’ link.

🎟️ Tickets on the day are subject to availability.  Checking the Millwall FC Twitter feed before travelling is recommended.
