Attracting visitors from around the world the Royal Windsor Horse Show is a highlight on the social sporting calendar. The 2026 Show takes place from Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 May and will feature top-class equestrian competition in Jumping, Dressage, Driving and Endurance, along with 120-plus Showing classes. INTERNATIONAL SHOW JUMPING
Royal Windsor is proud to host some of the highest level Show Jumping in the UK. The 5* jumping on three days of the Show (Friday to Sunday) in the Castle Arena, culminates in the prestigious Rolex Grand Prix on the Sunday.
In 2024, Martin Fuchs made it back-to-back wins in the Royal Windsor Horse Show Rolex Grand Prix. The Swiss maestro rode Leone Jei to glory (and the €125,000 first prize) a year after he steered Connor Jei to victory. The CSI5* event was a fitting finale to the showjumping in the Castle Arena with Windsor Castle as a spectacular backdrop. Robert Whitaker was the best-placed British rider after a jump-off featuring 12 riders.
Alongside top-level jumping taking place in the Castle Arena, the show also hosts young rider and National classes, making Windsor the place to see the best in jumping talent – both International and up-and-coming.
DRIVING & ENDURANCE
THE LAND ROVER INTERNATIONAL DRIVING GRAND PRIX
The Land Rover International Driving Grand Prix is one of the most important driving events in the UK. It’s also a FEI World CupTM qualifier. There are three stages to the competition. The Driven Dressage involves the team driving a set series of movements and takes place on the Friday of the Show. The Marathon Stage takes place on the Saturday. This challenging stage requires the competitors to drive at speed around eight obstacles. It’s one of the most popular parts of the competition. The final stage is the Cone Driving on Sunday, where teams drive through narrowly spaced pairs of cones in a set time.
INTERNATIONAL ENDURANCE
This takes place on the Friday of the Show. The International Endurance 3*, 2*, 1* and YJ1* competitors ride on tracks that test the horse and rider across different terrains. All in the beautiful Windsor Great Park. Whether competing at 160km, 120km or 80km, the rides are is a test of skill and stamina for both horse and rider.
SHOWING & DRESSAGE
SHOWING
There are a host of Showing classes at Royal Windsor Horse Show. It has become the event that starts the season of Showing, with potential champions out for the first time of the year. Highlights include the Mountain and Moorland Supreme Championship and the Hunter, Cob and Hack Championships.
DRESSAGE
Royal Windsor will host a Dressage Masterclass on the Thursday in the Castle Arena.
Alongside the equestrian action there’s the famous Shopping Village to enjoy. Divided into four area, the Horse & Rider zone includes a wide range of products. From stabling and bedding to tack as well as all your clothing essentials. Home furnishings are in Country Lifestyle and Living. The Jewellery & Fashion Quarter contains many classic designs. Those areas are complemented by the Royal Warrant Holders Association, companies are united by a commitment to the highest standards of service. These have an area dedicated to them at the Show.

🚊🚗 Travel tips: The Royal Windsor Horse Show is located in the Private Grounds of Windsor Castle. Travel by train: Windsor & Eton Riverside Station is approximately a 10/15-minute walk from the entrance to the Show. The station is served by South West Trains allowing travel from London Waterloo in the east and many towns in the south and west via Staines. Check for train times and connections on the National Rail website. Travel by car: The nearest motorways to the showground are the M4, M25 and M3. AA signage will direct you to available car parks outside the showground.
