England experienced a much-improved Six Nations campaign in 2025, finishing second in the table behind champions France. Steve Borthwick’s side bounced back from defeat to Dublin in Round 1, beating France in a thrilling match at Allianz Stadium.
England snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in Le Crunch. A rollercoaster match ended 26-25. Elliot Daly’s try and and a Fin Smith conversion as the clock ticked past 80 minutes securing a famous victory.
In Round 3 England made it back-to-back wins on home soil with a gripping Calcutta Cup win over Scotland. The hosts regained the trophy with a 16-15 win. Eight points from the boot of Marcus Smith and a Fin Smith penalty proving decisive. In the final match, Italy were put the sword courtesy of a 47-24 scoreline. But it was France who took the title, finishing on 21 points to England’s 20. Ireland were third on 19 points.
Now all eyes are on the 2026 campaign as England strive to go one better and win the Six Nations title for the first time since 2020. Having already dispatched Wales in impressive style in Round 1 (FT Score: England 48-7 Wales), Steve Borthwick’s side have their sights set on back-to-back home wins as they welcome Ireland to Twickenham.
