It’s official! The world’s most prestigious pool event, the Mosconi Cup, will return to the iconic Alexandra Palace in London in 2025. Taking place from 3-6 December a packed house is expected at Ally Pally to roar on Team Europe against their Team USA rivals. The Europeans are looking to replicate their 11-3 victory on home soil in 2023. Mosconi Cup tickets go on sale in early May.
The Mosconi Cup is the ultimate transatlantic pool showdown. The fiercest rivalry in the sport dates back to 1994 and takes place annually. Team Europe are in search of a sixth consecutive win. Team USA are on a mission to silence the crowd and reclaim the prestigious title.
2023 REVIEW
Team Europe (pictured above) celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Mosconi Cup with a resounding defeat of Team USA in 2023. Led by rookie captain Ralph Eckert, the hosts proved far too strong over four days of 9-ball action at the iconic Alexandra Palace. The 11-3 winning scoreline brought up the fourth consecutive title for Team Europe. Europe’s Joshua Filler was named Mosconi Cup MVP for a third time.
2025 PREVIEW
Team USA are desperate to take back the trophy having lost out to Team Europe for five years in a row. The latest edition of the trophy took place in Florida in December 2024. Team Europe were victorious by a margin of 11-6. Scotland’s Jayson Shaw was named MVP for the tournament.
The top five players from Team Europe and Team USA are all set for four days of world-class sporting action in pool’s most intimidating arena. 🚊🚗 Travel tips: The nearest overground railway station is Alexandra Palace situated at the Wood Green entrance to the park. The station is on the Great Northern line. There is a service from Moorgate and King’s Cross. The nearest tube station is Wood Green on the Piccadilly line. This has a journey time of 20 minutes from Piccadilly Circus. Exit the station and go to bus stop A to pick the up the W3 bus to Alexandra Palace. The W3 bus runs from Finsbury Park and Tottenham directly to the venue. If driving, the East Court car park is open most days. There are 1,200 parking spaces available. A car parking charge system is in operation. There are bicycle racks in the East Court car park.
