🎱 The UK Open Pool Championship takes centre stage at the Brentwood Centre this May in a tournament showcasing the world’s best players. Read on for a preview and the latest ticket information.
Taking place from Tuesday 26 to Sunday 31 May, the UK Open Pool Championship is a World Nineball Tour Ranking event. Battling it out for a share of the $2250,000 prize fund the world’s best players will take to the baize at The Brentwood Centre. UK Open Pool Championship tickets are on sale now.
Defending champion Aloysius Yapp (pictured below) will defend his title. Yapp, from Singapore, beat Spain’s Jonas Souto 13-1 in the last year’s final to claim his first Matchroom Major crown. Standing in Yapp’s way in 2026 will be a stacked field of global superstars and fearless rising talents ready to steal the spotlight. All intent on lifting one of the most coveted trophies on the World Nineball Tour.

256 players are due to enter the tournament, including the top 128 World Nineball Tour professionals. The players compete to get through to a seeded double elimination stage. Only the last 16 will make it through to the straight knockout stage. The winner takes home a cool $40,000 and the runner-up received $16,000.
PREVIOUS WINNERS
The reigning champion is Aloysius Yapp from Singapore. Previous champions who may also be in attendance include the likes of Robbie Capito who beat Mieszko Fortunski 13-10 in the 2024 final. The previous year Eklent Kaçi beat Joshua Filler 13-4. Filler was dethroned after he had secured the inaugural 2022 title beating Francisco Sanchez Ruiz from Spain.

Sessions start daily at 11am from Tuesday to Friday. On Saturday and Sunday sessions start at 12 noon.
