Fifty years on from the first women’s One-Day International at Lord’s, Nat Sciver-Brunt will follow in the footsteps of Rachael Heyhoe Flint and lead England in international action on the Main Ground.  Taking place from Friday 10 to Monday 13 July 2026 against India, the first England Women Test match at Lord’s promises to be a historic sporting highlight of the summer.

England and India are ranked third and fourth respectively in the ICC Women’s Test team rankings.  They last met at the Home of Cricket in July 2025 in the second of a three match One-Day International series.  On that occasion England took the spoils winning by 8 wickets (DLS Method) to level the series.  India would ultimately prevail courtesy of a 13-run victory at the Riverside Ground in the deciding match.

Roll on to summer 2026 and the stage is set for the latest chapter in one of hottest rivalries in women’s cricket.  Can England’s women get their revenge after India took the spoils following their One-Day series in 2025?  Or will India make history by winning the first ever women’s Test match to take place at Lord’s?  All will be revealed over four days on the hallowed in NW8!
