Edinburgh Monarchs welcome Peterborough Panthers to Armadale Stadium with the home side looking for a win to close the gap on the SGB Championship leaders.  Tapes-up at 7.30pm, tickets are available.

Edinburgh Monarchs endured an evening to forget last time out at Armadale Stadium.  Last Friday’s visit of Sheffield Tigers saw the Parsons Peebles Monarchs lose their unbeaten home record going down 51-39.  But the bigger blow to the Edinburgh side was the loss of captain Sam Masters with a broken collarbone.  The reigning Australian Champion has been in fine form for the Monarchs but a bad crash in heat 13 against the Tigers means he will face a spell on the sidelines.

But it’s not all doom and gloom for the Monarchs who remain in Championship contention, currently fourth in the table with Glasgow, Ipswich and leaders Sheffield all within 3 points.  The said the team from Edinburgh will need to hit their straps early tonight against a Peterborough Panthers side who have hit a good run of form recently, including a comprehensive double-header of league victories against fifth-placed Redcar Bears.

Tonight’s line-up for Parsons Peebles Monarchs: Ludvig Lindgren(guest), Theo Pijper, Ricky Wells, Max Clegg, Erik Riss(Capt), Josh Pickering, Mitchell Davey.
