2015 Artemis Macaulay Cup Final

It’s North vs South, aka Inveraray v Newtonmore, in the Artemis Macaulay Cup Final as two of the top senior sides in the country go head-to-head in search of cup glory.

Both sides were in semi-final action in the SSE Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup last weekend, but a match-up between the two for Shinty’s most sought after piece of silverware wasn’t to be as Invereray lost 3-1 to Lovat, while Kyles Athletic were slender 3-2 victors over Newtonmore in their semi-final.

It’s more than possible the disappointment of last weekend will fire up the teams even more for today’s encounter.  South Divison One leaders Invereray have overcome Glasgow Mid Argyll, Kyles Athletic and Oban Camanachd to reach today’s final.  Meanwhile Newtonmore, currently second in North Division One, put a total of 21 goals past their three opponents – Glenurquhart, Kilmallie and Lovat – en route to the final this afternoon.

Throw up at Mossfield Park is at 3.15pm.

Admission on the day priced: Adults £7/Concessions £3/Under 16s free.
