Day 1 of the Senior Open Championship Presented by Rolex from Carnoustie Golf Links where a 144-strong field are taking part in the tournament’s 30th anniversary.
The Senior Open Championship returns to Scotland after a gap of 4 years and the championship has attracted a who’s who of golfing legends. Eight-time major champion Tom Watson and two-time major champion Bernhard Langer are just two of 28 major champions who will be gracing the fairways in Angus, holding no less than 67 Major titles between them.
Fred Couples, Tom Lehman and Mark O’Meara are among the other stars in action who will require little introduction, along with Scotland’s very own Sandy Lyle, Sam Torrance and Colin Montgomerie, the latter pictured in action at Castle Stuart Golf Links in the Aberdeen Asset Management earlier this month.
