The crowd at the Ravenscraig Sports Facility are sure to be in for a mouth-watering day of action today as 21 bouts take place in the penultimate round of the Scottish Boxing Championships with fights from flyweight all the way up to to super-heavyweight, with the prize for the winners a place in the finals due to take place on 28 March.
Among the many highlights today will be the match up between Robbie McKechnie from the highly successful Greenock Boxing Club against Jason Easton from Craigmiller ABC, while in the light-heavyweight division all eyes will be on Glasgow 2014 bronze medallist Stephen Lavelle as he steps into the ring against Leith Victoria’s Ross Welsh.
Doors open 11.30am and boxing begins 12pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door – £15 for adults and £10 for concessions.
