2017 European Dodgeball Championships

Three days of international dodgeball action starts today at Ravenscraig Sports Facility as the  World Dodgeball Association presents the 2017 European Dodgeball Championships.  Matches start at 9am and limited tickets are available.

The 2017 European Dodgeball Championships is a key stepping stone to the Dodgeball World Cup in 2018.  All the World Dodgeball Association accredited members from Europe are in action at what promises to be a fiercely contested 3-day event celebrating the dodgeball sport, with the ultimate prize up for grabs – a qualifying place in the 2018 Dodgeball World Cup to be held in Madison Square Garden, New York, next August.

This year’s European Dodgeball Championships include current World Champions England (Men’s and mixed) as well as Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Squads from Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland and Wales, all hoping to become European Champions.

From today’s qualifying action through to the finals this weekend, stand by for a journey full of joy, angst and dodging the ball!  This is one of the world’s most participatory sports on the big stage as teams dodge, duck and dive their way into the history books.  A fantastic spectacle for all ages, come along to cheer on your nation as they try to secure a place in the world rankings.

There will be limited tickets for this event due to the floor space needed to put on the sport, this will not just help you to get right in the action, but it’ll keep the atmosphere electric!  Make sure to book your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

Matches start at 9am and continue throughout the day and into the evening.

Tickets in advance are available via the ‘Get Tickets‘ link.

Tickets on the day are subject to availability at the door.  Adult £5/U16 £3.  Checking the World Dodgeball Twitter feed before travelling is recommended.

The European Dodgeball Championships continue on Saturday from 9am.
