Finals day at the Aberdeen International Curling Championship at Curl Aberdeen, a Curling Champions Tour & Scottish Curling Tour event.  Play starts at 9am and spectating is free.

Twenty eight teams from around the world have been contesting this triple knockout competition with a total prize pot of £13,900 at stake.  The final event in the Scottish Curling Tour the teams are playing for the Bruce Ferguson Memorial Trophy alongside tour points and prize money.

Last year’s championships saw Team Murdoch beat Team Brewster in the final and once again stars from the world of curling are in action from both Scotland and overseas.  Look out for teams from Germany, Switzerland, Canada and China alongside a strong Scottish continent including Team Hardie, the aforementioned Team Brewster and the up-and-coming Team Bryce.

Play starts today at 9am with the quarter-finals followed at 12 noon with the semi-finals, with the final taking place at 3pm.  This is the Aberdeen International Curling daily draw in full.

Admission is on the day and entry is free for all spectators!  Viewing is from the Curl Aberdeen spectator’s lounge.

About the venue: The Aberdeen International Curling Championship is hosted by Curl Aberdeen which is a purpose built, state of the art curling facility situated to the west of Aberdeen.  Opened in 2005 Curl Aberdeen has held many competitions and events including the European Curling Championships in 2009.  The six lane curling rink, which also has top of the range conference facilities, is the only dedicated curling facility in the North East of Scotland. It is a members club with over 700 members aged 8-90 playing seven days a week.
