East Kilbride Pirates have it all to do this afternoon to bounce back from a a 45-14 home defeat to Merseyside Nighthawks at the end of June, a second consecutive defeat and one that has left the Pirates with a mountain to climb if they are to make the end of season play-offs.

Today’s visitors Tamworth Phoenix start the match as favourites.  The league leaders have been in superb form so far this campaign including a 48-0 demolition of the Pirates the last time the two sides met.  The Pirates will need to rekindle their best form if they are to cause an upset against the champions-elect.

Kick-off this afternoon is at 2.30pm.

Admission is on the day: Adults £3/U16s free.

Spectator info: East Kilbride Pirates home games are played at Hamilton Rugby Club.  The nearest train station is Hamilton Central, which is approximately a 15 minute walk.

Facilities include a club house, with bar, hot half time food, toilets and team merchandise on sale.  Circumstances permitting there is also commentary and music at matches.
