It’s been so far so good this season for Edinburgh Wolves after promotion from NFC1 North. An opening day 26-26 draw against East Kilbride Pirates followed up by a comprehensive 31-0 road win against Sheffield Giants. That sequence of results sees Edinburgh Wolves topping the table with the Pirates tucked in just behind them.
East Kilbride Pirates arrive at Peffermill with a point to prove. For so long the premier club side in Scotland the Pirates experienced a poor Premiership North campaign in 2016 by their standards, and will have been stung by their opening day draw against newcomers Edinburgh Wolves. This afternoon’s match is a chance for the Pirates to put the record straight and go top the table in the process.
Gates open at 1pm, match starts at 2pm.

Spectator info: The elevated pitch side view provides a great view of the game during which the referees will be mic’d to provide spectators with additional insight. And as well as action on the pitch there will be music, a BBQ on during the game and a bar open from 1pm with hot food to order all day on the terrace, all making for a great family day out.
