The Royal Geographic Society in central London is the place to be on Friday 22 November for an evening with Katarina Johnson-Thompson, fresh from her heptathlon silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The two-time world champion, double Commonwealth Games gold medallist, and Olympic silver medallist will give a unique insight into a a career defined by both extraordinary triumphs and formidable challenges.
Katarina has achieved at the highest level, but her path hasn’t been easy. Joining her for the evening is presenter and broadcaster Radzi Chinyanganya. Together they will delve into her career and unravel the lessons and insights into the many ups and downs of Katarina’s snakes-and-ladders experience in athletics.
Katarina will share her manual for those looking for inspiration, support and advice to achieve their own goals, especially those who may be struggling with either their physical or mental health while in pursuit of their dreams.
Whether you dream of becoming a chef or an actor, a teacher or builder, there will be speed bumps on the road. By unveiling her own story of resilience, from devastating injuries to podium victories, Katarina will offer invaluable lessons and motivation to keep going.
With the opportunity to ask your own questions, this special evening will go beyond sport, offering practical advice for navigating life’s inevitable hurdles with courage, confidence, and self-belief.
