The European Athletics Championships are all set to make history in 2026 when they will be hosted in the UK for the first time. Taking place from Monday 10 to Sunday 16 August, across 13 sessions, stand by for drama, agony and ecstasy in equal measure. Birmingham 2026 tickets are on sale now.
The Championships will see over 1600 athletes from 48 nations descending on Birmingham in search of sporting glory. With 44 gold medals destined to be won across seven evening session, a new chapter of athletics history will be written under the floodlights at Alexander Stadium
A spectacular array of Europe’s biggest names are expected to target their 2026 summer ambitions at Birmingham. Including British standouts such as Amy Hunt, Jake Wightman, Dina Asher-Smith, Max Burgin, Georgia Hunter Bell, Josh Kerr, Keely Hodgkinson and Zharnel Hughes. Joining them will be European stars such as Femke Bol, Karsten Warholm and Mondo Duplantis. Making the championships a superb chance for fans to witness world-class performances on home soil.
