Müller Indoor Grand Prix Glasgow

🥇 All roads lead to the Emirates Arena this afternoon for the Müller Indoor Grand Prix Glasgow featuring a host of British and international stars.  Action starts at 12 noon and tickets are sold out.

Ranked as the best indoor athletics meeting in the world, the Müller Indoor Grand Prix Glasgow returns this afternoon.  And with the Tokyo 2020 Olympics coming up in the summer some of the best athletes on the planet are starting their season at Emirates Arena, offering the British public to opportunity to see the world’s best track and field athletes on show in an intimate indoor setting.

Heptathlon star Katarina Johnson-Thompson will be competing in the long jump as she starts her preparations to add Olympic gold to her stunning gold at the 2019 World Athletics Championships.

Scottish star Laura Muir is also confirmed to compete and will attempt to set a 1,000m world record.  At the venue which serves as her indoor training base Muir will target Maria Mutola’s record of 2:30.94 set in 1999.  Racing in her home city of Glasgow Muir – the reigning double European indoor champion and European outdoor 1500 champion – will surely raise the roof should she start her 2020 season with a historic world record-breaking performance in front of her home crowd.

🚊 🚗 Travel tips: Dalmarnock railway station is a 5-10 minute walk from the Emirates Arena.  Services at this station run regularly all day on Monday to Saturday on the Argyle Line through Glasgow Central Low Level, on Sunday there is a limited service.  The main car park is on the left and there is an overflow car park on the right.  Note: At major events the car park can get very busy.
