MLB London Series

A historic encounter between New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox who meet in the first match of a double-header this weekend in the MLB London Series.  Limited tickets are still available.

The Olympic Park is the venue for the first regular season Major League Baseball match to take place in Europe.  Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees lay claim to one of the most heated rivalries in professional sport and for one weekend only in 2019 are taking over the capital.  Transformed into a 60,000-seater ballpark London Stadium plays host to the Red Sox as they look to settle old scores against their most formidable foes, the Yankees, in not one but two matches this weekend.

Both teams are stacked with star players from the world of baseball.  The New York Yankees have an attacking duo to savour in Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton who, injuries permitting, will  both be on the pitch tonight.  A legendary hitting partnership they are both over 6 foot 5 in height and capable of dispatching the baseball well over 100 metres.

Boston Red Sox have reigning American League MVP (Most Valuable Player) Mookie Betts.  A brilliant defender Betts has an exception throwing arm which enables him to throw runners out from deep in the the outfield.  Another big star in the Red Sox line-up is hitter J.D. Martinez.  Signed as a free agent in the lead up to the 2018 season he enjoyed a stellar season hitting 43 home runs and getting the most Runs Batted In (RBI).

Kick-off is at 6.10pm.

Tickets in advance are available via the ‘Get Tickets’ link.
