Subway Summer Slam ~ Thursday 18 & Sunday 21 July

🏀 Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is the place to be for the Subway Summer Slam featuring GB Basketball men’s and women’s teams against international opposition.

EVENT PREVIEW

Get ready for the Subway Summer Slam, an unforgettable basketball experience that will pit GB Basketball men’s and women’s teams against international opposition at the Copper Box Arena. 
 
First up on Thursday 18 July, GB Men take on South Sudan.  That’s followed by GB Women against their German counterparts just three days later on Sunday 21 July.
 
The men’s game involves a reunion of two former teammates and GB legends of the sport.  Luol Deng leads the visitors, while GB General Manager Dan Clark aims to lead his side to victory.
 
The women’s encounter between GB and Germany is set to be a close encounter between two teams who are just two places apart in the FIBA world rankings.  GB Head Coach, Anna Montañana, will take charge of the side for the first time.

🎟️ Tickets for the Subway Summer Slam are off sale.     

🏀🕒 Tip-off for GB Men v South Sudan on Thursday 18 July is at 7.30pm.

🏀🕒 Tip-off for GB Women v Germany on Sunday 21 July is at 3pm

🚊🚗 Travel tips: Copper Box Arena.  The nearest railway stations are Hackney Wick overground and Stratford International station.  Both are approximately a 15-minute walk.  Stratford International is one stop (5 minutes) from London St Pancras on the Javelin train.  Stratford (with links to the underground and DLR) station is about a 15-minute walk.  Plan your journey at the Transport for London website.  Limited parking is available at the Copper Box Arena, however parking is available at the nearby Westfield Shopping Centre.
