BDO World Professional Darts Championships 2020

🎯 From Frimley Green to indigo at the O2 there’s a new home for the BDO World Professional Darts Championships with 58 players from 17 countries vying to become the 2020 champion.  Tickets are available.

A famous tournament on the sporting calendar returns for 2020 with a different home but the same promise of eight days of darting drama.

Indigo at The O2 is the place to be for the BDO World Championships taking place from Saturday 4 January – Sunday 12 January. 

The Men’s Championships marks the return of three-times World Champion Martin Adams, who faces a two-time World Champion in Scott Waites in the opening round.  England Captain and 2015 Champion Scott Mitchell faces the reigning Youth World Champion Leighton Bennett, whilst last years semi-finalist Jim Williams closes out the opening Saturday against Scotland’s Gary Stone.

Following the news Fallon Sherrock has decided to withdraw from Women’s Championships Sweden’s Vicky Pruim will take her place.  A former World Championships semi-finalist and the 2017 World Cup Singles Champion, Pruim will face Australia’s Corrine Hammond in the opening round on Saturday 4th January.  They join a top female line up which includes reigning World Champion Mikuru Suzuki, former Champions Lisa Ashton and Anastasia Dobromyslova, 2019 runner-up Lorraine Winstanley, England Captain Deta Hedman, Dutch sharpshooter Aileen de Graaf and 16-year-old debutant Beau Greaves.

🚊🚗 Travel tips: Getting to The O2 via tube is recommended.  North Greenwich station is right on the doorstep and on the Jubilee Line in Zones 2 and 3.  Get there from Central London in 20 minutes, or Stratford in 10 minutes.
