Beach tennis players from around the world are set to descend on Barnes for the latest event in the ITF Beach Tennis calendar on Saturday 29 July. The BT10 tournament is part of a two-day beach tennis extravaganza which also includes the British Open Beach Tennis Championships on Sunday 30 July.
The sandy courts in the beautiful location of Queen Elizabeth Walk are the venue for the ITF BT10 and British Open tournaments. Just a 15-minute walk from Barnes railway station, the stunning Wetland setting on the River Thames is an ideal venue to showcase some of the most talented players in the sport.
Whether you’re a fan of beach tennis or looking to broaden your sporting horizons, the tournaments offer a fun and family-friendly day out with a difference. And with lots of fast-paced matches to enjoy the atmosphere is sure to be electric.

Play starts daily at 11am and continues through until late afternoon/early evening.
🎾 Ones to Watch
A number of British stars will be looking to make their mark in international company this weekend. Michael Smith and Tom Delaney are two upcoming players to watch out for in the Men’s Doubles, joining the highest ranked Brit Chris Maguire. In the Women’s Doubles Agnes Hau and Yasmin Coleman are among the favourites to to impress in front of their home crowd.
🚊 🚗 Travel tips: Public transport is recommended. The nearest railway station is Barnes (with connections to Clapham Junction and London Waterloo), around a 15-minute walk to the venue or a short taxi ride. Or take the London Underground to East Putney station (on the District Line) and then the 337 bus alighting at Rosslyn Park RFC which is a 20-minute walk from the venue. Plan your journey at the Transport for London website. If driving, free parking is available at Barn Elms Sports Centre.
About the ITF Beach Tennis World Tour
Beach Tennis is a rapidly-growing sport with a bold aim: to become the leading beach sport for professional and junior athletes worldwide.
Vibrant, engaging and fast-paced, the sport is played using Beach Tennis paddles and a low compression Stage 2 ‘orange’ tennis ball, on sand courts measuring 16 x 8 metres and a net 1.7 metres high.
The ITF Beach Tennis World Tour comprises over 300 tournaments in 37 countries. The sport’s flagship competitions including the ITF Beach Tennis World Championships and the ITF Beach Tennis World Cup. Also the Regional Championships in Europe, Africa and the Americas.
