Horse racing fans are in for a treat this afternoon as Kelso Racecourse hosts its second race meeting of the 2015/2016 season.
The day kicks off with the highly anticipated and very popular Border Principal Race that will take place before the main card, at around 1.15pm. Principals from 14 Border Towns are set to battle it out on the flat over approximately 4 furlongs, who will be victorious?!
Then it’s onto the seven races on the card including the feature race, the £22,500 NSPCC School Service Handicap Steeple Chase (over 2m 1f 14yrds), and what is set to be a fantastic day’s racing.
Gates open at 12 noon. First race of the day at 2pm, last race at 5.35pm.
Tickets in advance are available online via the ‘Get Tickets’ (subject to a £1.50 booking fee) or by telephoning the Racecourse Office on 01668 280800. A £2 discount per ticket applies to advance purchases available up until 24 hours prior to the first race.
