A ‘Heavy Duty’ night of boxing at The O2 Arena features some of Britain’s brightest heavyweight stars. First bout on this latest Frank Warren show is at 4pm and tickets are available.
The jury is out on whether Daniel Dubois (pictured) or Nathan Gorman will win the vacant British title tonight, but what is not in doubt is the anticipation levels as these two rising stars go toe-to-toe for the vacant British title.
Both fighters are undefeated and have dynamite punching power which will make for a don’t blink you could miss it encounter.
Fellow heavyweight and Rio 2016 Olympic silver medallist Joe Joyce (9-0) is also in action and the ‘Juggernaut’ will be looking to make his own statement against former world title challenger Bryant Jennings. 34-year-old Jennings is a seasoned campaigner in the division with 27 fights and whose only defeats have come against elite level fighters Wladimir Klitschko, Luis Ortiz and the unbeaten Oscar Rivas. The Juggernaut’s momentum will surely be tested this evening.
Also on a packed bill is British middleweight champion Liam Williams against France’s Karim Achour for the WBC silver middleweight title. Before that super-flyweight sensation Sunny Edwards and super featherweight contender Archie Sharp with both be putting their respective unbeaten records on the line.
Kent bantamweight Dennis McCann, returning to the ring after an impressive debut, Hamza Sheeraz, Mark Chamberlain, Jake Pettitt, Louie Lynn, Mickey Burke Jr and Florian Marku are among a host of other Frank Warren fights on the card.
Doors open at 3.30pm, first contest at 4pm.
