Haringey Box Cup ~ Friday 14 to Sunday 16 June 2024

đŸ„Š The Great Hall at London’s famous Alexandra Palace is the place to be for the 2024 Haringey Box Cup, Europe’s largest amateur boxing event. See below for the latest ticket information.

Around 300 male and female boxers are expected to follow in some very famous footsteps as they take part in the Haringey Box Cup from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 June.  The international amateur tournament is steeped in history with previous winners reading like a who’s who of British and Irish boxing stars.

Haringey amateur and double Olympic champion Nicola Adams took the Box Cup silverware in 2009, while two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua won the event twice in a row ahead of his gold medal at the London 2012 Olympics.  Irish superstar Katie Taylor won both silverware and the best female boxer award at the tournament in 2010, the start of a glittering career in both the amateur and professional ranks.

In 2023 a total of 301 boxers weighed in for the Haringey Box Cup providing a memorable three days of boxing action.  The best in class award winners were as follows:-

Male Elite ~ Lucas Roehrig (Dale Youth)
Female Elite ~ Patricia Mbata (Finchley)
Male Youth ~ John Tom Varey (Box Smart Elite)
Female Youth ~ Nancy Shepherd ~ Kent Gloves
Team ~ Ireland Males
Club ~ Hodbox

Five rings will be set up in The Great Hall ahead of three days of fast and furious action featuring amateur boxers from across the globe.

Friday 14 June:

đŸ—ïž Doors open at 3pm.

đŸ„Š Boxing commences at 4pm through until 11pm.

Saturday 15 June:

đŸ—ïž Doors open at 11am.

đŸ„Š Boxing commences at 12 noon through until 9pm.

Sunday 16 June:

đŸ—ïž Doors open at 11am.

đŸ„Š Boxing commences at 12 noon through until 6.30pm.

🚊🚗 Travel tips: Alexandra Palace is the nearest railway station, located at the Wood Green entrance to the park.  A regular service runs direct from Moorgate.  The nearest tube station is Wood Green on the Piccadilly line, while the W3 bus runs from Finsbury Park and Tottenham.  There are 1,200 parking spaces in the grounds which are free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.  Plan your journey at the Transport for London website.
