CONGRATULATIONS to Lauren Price who defeated Natasha Jonas in the battle of the world champion welterweights at Royal Albert Hall.  Welsh wizard Price proved too hot to handle for veteran Jones in a changing of the guard for women’s boxing.  Anyone with Jonas v Price tickets got their money’s worth.  After 10 rounds of top-of-the-bill boxing Price won a unanimous decision on the scorecards to become a unified world champion.  Earlier in the evening rising British star Caroline Dubois notched up another win against South Korea’s Bo Mi Re Shin.  Dubois retained her WBC lightweight title in a hard-fought battle.

EVENT PREVIEW

Two of the biggest stars in British women’s boxing are set to fight for the title of unified welterweight champion.  Natasha Jonas v Lauren Price is top of the bill on what promises to be a night to remember at one of London’s most famous venues.  An all-female card also features a host of star names on the undercard, including Olympians Karriss Artingstall and Cindy Ngamba, WBC lightweight champion Caroline Dubois and WBC featherweight title challenger Raven Chapman.  Jonas v Price tickets are on sale now.

‘UNSTOPPABLE’ – TOP OF THE BILL – JONAS v PRICE TICKETS

Natasha Jonas has enjoyed an illustrious career since she became the first female boxer to compete for GB boxing at the London 2012 Olympics.  Jonas took on Irish legend Katie Taylor in the quarter-finals at Excel London.  Taylor prevailed in an enthralling fight where the decibel levels were famously off the chart.  The two then met in the professional ranks in 2021 when Taylor (then the unified lightweight champion) narrowly beat Jonas again in another thriller.

Jonas would not be denied in her search for glory in the professional ranks.  She became the super-welterweight world champion in 2022.  The same year as Jonas was named the British Boxing Board of Control’s British Boxer of the Year, the first women to hold that accolade.

Fast forward two years and Jonas is now the holder the IBF and WBC welterweight belts following her victory over Ivana Habazin at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool in December.  Also fighting that night was a certain Lauren Price.  The highly regarded Welsh boxer retained her WBA welterweight title against the Colombian Bexcy Mateus.

Wales’ Price is a gold medallist from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics where she topped the podium in the middleweight category.  She then turned professional and won the WBA and Ring welterweight titles defeating Jessica McCaskill at Cardiff International Arena last March.  And after Price’s successful aforesaid defence in Liverpool, all eyes are now on her meeting with British rival Jonas.

UNDERCARD – JONAS v PRICE TICKETS

Karriss Artingstall, Caroline Dubois and new BOXXER signing Cindy Ngamba are all set to feature on a stellar undercard at the Royal Albert Hall.

Unbeaten Olympic Bronze medallist Artingstall faces former WBC world featherweight title challenger Raven Chapman in a mouthwatering clash.  Meanwhile WBC lightweight world title holder ‘Sweet’ Caroline Dubois hopes to build on her recent blistering performance in Sheffield with another defence of her title on the historic card.

Completing the line-up is 2024 Paris Olympic bronze medallist Cindy Ngamba.  She makes her official debut after signing a multi-fight deal with BOXXER.

It’s all set for a historic night of all-women’s world championship boxing at the Royal Albert Hall.  May the best woman win!
