CONGRATULATIONS to Daniel Dubois who knocked out Anthony Joshua in the fifth round of their compelling world heavyweight showdown. Dubois dominated the fight from the outset and landed a huge punch on Joshua at the end of round one to cement his authority. Thereafter Joshua battled bravely – despite being outgunned and touching down on several more occasions – and rocked Dubois in the fifth, only to be sent to the canvass and counted out moments after. Anyone who purchased Joshua vs Dubois tickets will not forget the night in a very long time. What a fight served up by two British gladiators!
EVENT PREVIEW
A record crowd of 95,000+ fans are expected for a huge night of championship boxing at the England national football stadium. Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois are top of the bill with the IBF world heavyweight title on the line. Tickets for Joshua vs Dubois are on sale.
The battle of the British heavyweights is for the IBF title (currently held by Dubois) after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the belt.  Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs) was recently upgraded from interim to full champion, meaning Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) has the opportunity to become a three-time world champion if he can topple Dubois.
Dubois beat the highly-rated Croatian Filip Hrgovic in Saudia Arabia to claim the interim IBF title in June. Joshua, who earlier this year knocked out former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in sensational style, was watching on at ringside.
It’s all set up for an explosive encounter between Londoner Daniel Dubois and Watford’s Anthony Joshua. Special guest Liam Gallagher will perform before the gladiators take to the ring.
A mouthwatering night of action also features a stacked undercard. Josh Warrington takes on Anthony Cacace for the latter’s IBF world super-featherweight title. Cacace is the champion after he shocked Wales’ Joe Cordina back in May. An eagerly anticipated domestic clash features unbeaten middleweight star Hamzah Sheeraz versus Tyler Denny with the European title on the line. Another all-British affair sees Joshua Buatsi and Willy Hutchinson square off with the WBO ‘interim’ light-heavyweight belt up for grabs.
The talented Josh Kelly returns against the experienced Liam Smith. Smith is looking to rebound after losing his middleweight rematch with Chris Eubank Jr last year. Mark Chamberlain against Josh Padley in a battle of the lightweights will get a huge evening of boxing underway.
