Braehead Clan v Fife Flyers

Braehead Clan v Fife Flyers

A Friday night Elite League special in Glasgow.  One of the fiercest rivalries in UK ice hockey, Braehead Clan v Fife Flyers, are poised for a Braehead Arena showdown.  Face-off is 7.30pm and tickets are available online.

Braehead Clan on an impressive three-match winning streak at home that they would dearly love to extend to four tonight against the Flyers.  Manchester Storm, Edinburgh Capitals and Coventry Blaze have all been seen off, a sequence of results meaning the Clan have climbed to fourth in the Elite League table.  For their part Fife Flyers’ form of late has been erratic, however the team from Kirkcaldy will be buoyed by last Sunday’s 9-5 demolition of second-placed Belfast Giants.  Add to that the Flyers are just 2 points behind the Clan in the Elite League, with a couple of games in hand, and it’s all set up for an intriguing game of ice hockey to start the weekend.

Previous head-to-head: Memories of the last Clan v Flyers encounter at Braehead Arena are fesh in the memory.  On that occasion, on the last Saturday in January, it was Braehead Clan who went home with the bragging rights courtesy of a 5-2 win.

Face-off for Braehead Clan v Fife Flyers is at 7.30pm.
