Newly crowned NFC Premier Champions, East Kilbride Pirates, have home field advantage for the BritBowl semi-final against London Blitz as they look to book a place in BritBowl XXIX in two weeks’ time.
The Pirates secured the NFC Premier title for a seventh consecutive year with a 37-10 victory over Sheffield Predators last weekend. Meanwhile their opponents London Blitz had already guaranteed themselves a play-off place but beat rivals and Southern Division Champions, London Warriors, 13-7 to give them a boost heading into the semi-finals.
East Kilbride will be out for revenge this afternoon, with Blitz knocking them out at this stage of the competition for each of the past three years. The winners will face the winners of London Warriors and Tamworth Phoenix in the BritBowl Final on Saturday 5th September.
Kick-off is at 1pm.
