British Diving Championships 2017

The Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh is the venue for the biggest domestic diving competition on the calendar.  Day 2 of the British Diving Championships includes finals in both the men’s and women’s synchro events with tickets available.

British diving is on a high following the Rio Olympics where Team GB’s Jack Laugher led the way with a diving double taking synchronised gold and individual silver in the 3m springboard events.  Laugher was joined in the medals by Chris Mears, Tom Daley and Dan Goodfellow.  And history was made in the women’s competition when Edinburgh’s Grace Reid produced the best British female diving performance in the 3m individual springboard for 56 years finishing eighth in the Olympic final.

The competition over the weekend is the final opportunity to see the aforementioned Olympic Champions Chris Mears and Jack Laugher and Olympic bronze medallists Tom Daley and Dan Goodfellow compete on home soil before the World Championships in Budapest.  Likewise Grace Reid (main picture) is aiming to compete in both the 3m Springboard and 3m Synchro events.
