Brands Hatch is the venue this weekend for the latest round of the 2019 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship. Action from 9am, tickets are available.
The British Touring Car Championship kicks back into life for 2019 at Brands Hatch with three races on the gladiatorial Indy circuit – much of which is visible from any one viewing point.
This is your first chance to see a new-look BTCC, including the return of the legendary BMW 3 Series, with reigning champion Colin Turkington behind the wheel. His main title rival Tom Ingram has a new car too – a factory-backed Toyota Corolla – whilst series legend Jason Plato has reunited with the Vauxhall brand which brought him the 2001 battle to pursue a 100th BTCC win.
Matt Neal and Dan Cammish will spearhead Honda’s efforts this year, whilst 2017 champion Ashley Sutton remains behind the wheel of a works Subaru Levorg. There will be local interest true, through the Wrotham based Motorbase team, and its star driver Tom Chilton. This year’s grid boasts an F1 connection too, through Lewis Hamilton’s brother Nicolas and ex-Grand Prix driver Mark Blundell.
The BTCC is fast, furious, and highly entertaining, and with a full programme of support races too, this is set to be a great day out.
