The Cricket Scotland T20 Blitz continues today as Caledonian Highlanders welcome back Western Warriors to Forthill, home of Forfarshire Cricket Club.
These two sides met just 10 days ago, in the longer form PRO50 Cup, and it’s Caledonian Highlanders who will be looking for revenge after they slumped to 175 all out chasing a total of 359 that meant the Warriors won by 184 runs. However when the sides met in the reverse fixture of today’s T20 Blitz match it was the Highlanders who won that encounter at Titwood by 25 runs.
Both sides will feel they have a good chance of taking the spoils today making for an intriguing game of cricket. And with both sides having already been beaten by Eastern Knights a loss for Western Warriors will consign them to the wooden spoon, whereas the same outcome will give the Highlanders a chance of winning the series if they can overcome Eastern Knights at the Grange on the 29th June in the final game of this year’s T20 Blitz.
