Fancy something a little different for the bank holiday to entertain the family? In that case camel racing at Northaw is just what you are looking for. Racing starts from 1pm with admission on the gate.
There may not be a desert in EN6 but that doesn’t mean camel racing at Northaw won’t be the headline attraction in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside this afternoon. Within easy reach of north London seeing is believing with a minimum of four camel races taking place on the Northaw Point-to-Point course from 1pm.
A day out for all the family with a difference starts from 10am and includes a traditional funfair and ‘Big Wheel’, shetland racing, pony rides not to mention the always opportunity to race your own dogs. Refreshments and a bar will ensure all tastes are accommodated for.
A minimum of 50% of the camel racing at Northaw profits will go to the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.
Gates open at 10am, first race at 1pm.
Admission is on the day only priced: Adults £10/Under 14s free. Car parking is free.
Travel: The entrance to the races is on the B156 Potters Bar to Cuffley Road. Northaw Road West and 300 yards to the west of Cattlegate Road junction with Northaw Road East/West.
