2023 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships ~ Tuesday 19 to Sunday 24 September

🛶 The ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships are underway at Lee Valley White Water Centre.  🎟️ Weekend passes for 23-24 September are on sale here! 

Led by Great Britain’s top stars, including Olympic medallists Mallory Franklin and Joe Clarke MBE, the finest canoeists in the world are set to do battle from 19-24 September at the Canoe Slalom World Championships in London.

The iconic Lee Valley White Water Centre course (see below) was built for the London 2012 Olympics and is renowned across the globe as one of the best white water courses in the world.  This September it hosts around 300 of the world’s top athletes, from across 50 countries, competing across a week of high-octane competition.

Featuring individual and team events in the men’s and women’s kayak and canoe events, as well as the dramatic men’s and women’s kayak cross, a superb variety of action on the water is in store (see below for the daily schedule).  Coveted World Championship titles are at stake and in addition athletes from all nations will be competing to qualify boats for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Tickets start from £1 for children.  Two-day weekend and full event passes are also available.  Alongside the action on the water a host of other activities will be taking place throughout the week in the the fan zone.  Read all about it here.

TRAVEL TIPS

🚊🚗: There are train stations and bus routes close to the venue.  Waltham Cross overground station is about a 15-walk to the the venue.  Waltham Cross is on the West Anglia line with connections to Stratford and Liverpool Street.  To plan your trip use the Transport for London website.  On Friday, Saturday and Sunday a free shuttle bus will be provided between the station and the venue, commencing 75 minutes before the start of competition and finishing 45 minutes after the end of the competition.

There will be bike parking available at both spectator entrances to the venue if cycling.  Also car parking will be available at Lee Valley Showground, adjacent to the venue.  There will be no car parking available for spectators directly at the Lee Valley White Water Centre.
