The stage is set at the Emirates Arena for the opening day of the Coral Scottish Open. Stand by for seven days of world-class snooker with 128 competitors battling it out on the baize for the £70,000 top prize. Tickets are available for today’s Round 1 action.
The Coral Scottish Open will host a stellar field this week, including star names such as five-time world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan (main picture) and former UK champion Judd Trump.
The third instalment of the new Home Nations series takes places from 12th to 18th December, with the last man standing next Sunday getting their hands on a handsome cheque not to mention the trophy named after snooker’s most successful player, Stephen Hendry.
Scotland’s top stars John Higgins, Stephen Maguire and Anthony McGill will be in attendance hoping to pick up silverware on home soil. Mark Allen enjoyed a raucous backing at the recent Northern Ireland Open and the Scots can expect the same treatment in Glasgow.
