Jasprit Bumrah took 5 wickets for India in the first innings but to no avail. England won a fiercely contested match by 22 runs to go 2-1 up in the series. However, India would fight back drawing at Old Trafford before winning the fifth and final Test at The Oval by six runs. A classic series ended in a 2-2 draw.
