Cricket Scotland Club Championship Final

Clydesdale face Grange this afternoon in the final of the 2015 Cricket Scotland Club Championship Final, the climax of the club cricket season.

Clydesdale, champions of the CSL Western Union Premier Division, rounded off their season in style last weekend thanks to a star performance from Majid Haq.  Scotland’s most capped player and record wicket-taker claimed 8-20 from fifteen overs in a victory over Dumfries at Titwood.  Their opponents today are Grange who were crowned champions of the Eastern Premier Division in August after a dramatic finale when they beat Heriot’s, to leapfrog leaders Arbroath who fell at the last hurdle by virtue of a narrow defeat to Watsonians.  However Grange subsequently lost the Scottish Cup final as Arbroath gained revenge, and will be looking to bounce back from that defeat this afternoon and follow in the footsteps of Aberdeenshire who lifted the 2014 Scottish Club Championship trophy after defeating Ayr.

First ball due to be bowled at 12 noon.

Admission on the day.  Free entry all spectators.
