(M) County Championship: Surrey CCC v Hampshire CCC ~ Friday 26 to Monday 29 April 2024

🏏 Surrey County Cricket Club take on Hampshire at The Kia Oval.  It’s the hosts second home match of the season as they continue their defence of their LV= Insurance County Championship Division One title.

Surrey are back for another season of County Championship action with a hat-trick on their minds.  Last summer the Division One title race went to the wire when the Three Feathers successfully saw off the threat of Essex to defend the title they won in 2022.  See below for Surrey County Cricket Club tickets information.

The last time the Kia Oval won back-to-back Division One titles was 1999-2000.  This season history beckons if they can bring up an unprecedented three titles in a row.

This week’s match against Hampshire is the first of back-to-back County Championship matches at the Oval.  Warwickshire are next up to face the champions when they visit south London from Friday 10 May.

Captain Rory Burns and Dom Sibley lead a strong nucleus of experienced players in the Surrey team heading into the new season.  Joining them from Essex this season is Dan Lawrence who is aiming to impress with the bat for the Three Feathers and force himself into the England team reckoning.

Ten teams in total feature in Division One.  Surrey are joined by Essex, Durham, Hampshire, Kent, Northamptonshire, Lancashire, Somerset, Worcestshire  and Warwickshire.

🏏 Play starts daily at 10.30am.
