About the Vitality Blast: The Vitality Blast is English domestic cricket’s 20 overs a side competition.  Between Thursday 30 May to Friday 19 July 2024 the round robin stage sees each of the nine sides in the North Group and South Group (all 18 first-class counties take part) play 14 group games, seven at home and seven away.

The top four teams in each pool progress to the quarter-finals in early September.  The winners of the North Group face the fourth-placed team in the South Group in the last eight.  And so on and so forth.

The winners of the quarter-finals advance to Finals Day at Edgbaston on Saturday 14 September.

Matches follow the standard T20 format.  Bowlers are allotted four overs each max.  In each innings the first six overs are the powerplay with no more than two fielders allowed outside the 30-yard circle.

Vitality Blast 2024 South Group.  Surrey are joined by Essex Eagles, Glamorgan, Gloucestershire, Hampshire Hawks, Kent Spitfires, Middlesex, Somerset and Sussex Sharks.
