Duffas Park in Fife is the venue for the Cupar Highland Games this afternoon, a popular annual event that has been running since 1979. The official opening takes place at 12 noon with admission on the gate.
The Games will feature all the usual traditional Scottish events including field events, Highland dancing and heavy events together with a Junior Highland Games.
The parade commences at 11.30am with Pipe Bands, Past Chieftains, Games President, Honorary President and Officials with Chieftain carrying the Games Flag, with the opening of the Games at 12 noon. The field events start at 12.15pm and the heavy events at 12.30pm with children’s races at 2.30pm.
The presentation of prizes will take place at 4.45pm. This is a full timetable of events via the Cupar Games website.
