🥌 A big year for curling in Scotland is all set for lift-off with a four days of world-class action at the 2020 Perth Masters. Spectating is free.
The Perth Masters is a highlight on the Scottish curling calendar, with a reputation as one of the finest events in Europe, and this year the Perth Masters and Perth Ladies International Curling events have joined forces for a brand new ‘Big Weekend of World Curling’ taking place 2-5 January at Dewars Centre, Perth.
Two World Curling Tour events in their own right will ensure the very best men’s and women’s teams are in action. In all some 39 teams from many different countries are expected who will play 102 games over 4 days.
Both events will run in group formats followed by the championship play-offs on Sunday 5 January. A joint prize fund of £26,000 is on the line as the world’s best curlers compete for these prestigious titles. First prizes are £7,000 for The Masters and £4,000 for Ladies international. Team Muirhead, led by Scotland’s very own Olympic medallist and 2013 World Champion Eve Muirhead, are among the teams taking part.
It promises to be a perfect occasion to whet the appetite for the LGT World Men’s Curling Championship 2020 taking place in Glasgow from 28 March-5 April.

🚊 🚗 Travel tips: Dewars Centre is located just a few minutes from Perth City Centre in a convenient location just off Perth’s Glasgow Road. A short walk from Perth railway station if travelling by public transport, it also has plentiful parking for event visitors.
