The WDF Lakeside World Championship returns to the iconic Lakeside Country Club, the famous venue which has hosted no less than 37 world championships. And lying ahead is the promise of ten days of darting drama. WDF Lakeside World Championship tickets are on sale now!
The 2026 tournament takes place from Friday 27 November to Sunday 6 December. A unique atmosphere is guaranteed at the Lakeside which will crown no less than four champions on ‘Finals Sunday’ with the finals for the girls and boys followed by the women’s and men’s finals.
Last year, Jimmy van Schie from the Netherlands won the Men’s WDF Lakeside World Championship beating Scotland’s Mitchell Lawrie 6-3 in the final. Lawrie had a stellar tournament making the Men’s final and winning the Boy’s title. Van Schie followed in the footsteps 2024 Men’s winner Shane McGuirk who made darting history for Ireland beating evergreen Paul Lim 6-3 in the final.
In the Women’s tournament, Deta Hedman lifted the 2025 trophy defeating Lerena Rietbergen 4–1 in the final. The 2024 winner was Beau Greaves who beat Sophie McKinlay to become the youngest three-time women’s champion in the history of the tournament.
And showing darts has a bright future, Zehra Gemi was crowned the 2025 WDF Girls’ World Champion. Gemi’s victory marked the first time a Turkish player had won a world darts title. Mitchell Lawrie from Scotland was the WDF Boys’ World Champion. He beat Germany’s Florian Preis in the final.
