Edinburgh International Rugby Sevens

Meggetland is the place to be today for the opening leg of the 2015 GB7s Tour.  A three week tour of Britain the GB7s features teams from England, Scotland, Ireland & Wales who include in their ranks some of the most exciting established and emerging sevens players in Britain.

There are eight teams in all, led by defending champions the Samurai 7s, considered one of the world’s best rugby invitational teams.  Home interest comes in the form of the Co-Optimists, a Scottish rugby club founded in 1924 and with a rich history of playing both sevens and fifteen aside games including winning the Melrose Sevens in 1993.

An exciting day of rugby is in store with 20 matches in all to be played.  Pool match action starts at 10.15am, ahead of the knockout stages in the afternoon which commences at 3pm.

Admission on the day: £5.
