Fifa World Cup Qualifier. Scotland take on Slovakia in what has been described as the biggest game of a generation for the national side. Kick-off at Hampden Park is at 7.45pm with a limited number of tickets remaining.
Just a month ago Scotland’s chances of reaching next year’s World Cup in Russia looked slim. However an impressive 3-0 victory on the road against Lithuania, followed by a 2-0 home win over Malta have breathed renewed life into Scotland’s qualifying campaign aided by tonight’s opponents slipping to a 2-1 defeat to England.
The race is on for a second-place finish in the group with Scotland, Slovenia and Slovakia separated by just 1 point after 8 games in Group F. Hence a win tonight against Slovakia for Gordon Strachan’s men is a must if they are to seize the initiative ahead of trip to Slovenia this weekend, when the final placings in the group will be decided.
Previous meeting: The sides met in Slovakia last year when the home side took the spoils courtesy of a 3-0 scoreline.
Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
Ticket in advance are available via the ‘Get Tickets‘ link. Only a limited number remain.
Tickets on the day are available subject to availability from the ticket kiosks behind the West Stand at Hampden Park. A sell out is expected so checking the Scottish FA Twitter feed before travelling is recommended.
